Walking as a workout can become very boring quickly if you do not add variety to the workout. There are many ways to add variety to a walking workout regime. The most exciting and joyful (and I am not saying this just to please the dog walkers) is simply walking with your dog if you have one. This really never gets boring.
There are other ways to make walking interesting as exercise, and these include, changing the route, altering your pace, walking with a friend on in groups or adding other styles of walking, for example, nordic walking.
